'Light and Love' is a contemplation on the journey of orchids, from their bloom to their inevitable wilt. This series explores humanity and life’s transient beauty, finiteness, and unpredictability. The artist’s inspiration stemmed from a Vipassana retreat at Wat Rampoeng in Chiang Mai during the summer of 2022. Through this work, he pays tribute to his mother's resilience as she bravely confronts and recovers from health complications. Drawing parallels between the ephemeral nature of the orchids and the fleeting moments of life, he encapsulates this theme through the dynamic and meditative scribbling technique in pen, reminding us that life, whether short or long, is to be savored and be grateful for.
